The eyes of the world are on India, and we are ready to be seen

This year India is celebrating and commemorating 75 years of independence, in the form of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of this historic event. India has grown leaps and bounds in the previous 75 years, making it one of the fastest developing countries.

From being called the ‘golden sparrow’ during the Gupta period, and the ‘jewel in the crown’ during British Era, it slowly degenerated due to the ‘drain of wealth’ by Britishers who left us

in a state of poverty, unemployment, and low economic growth. However, the enthusiasm of new India helped it become the biggest economy in the world, with a growth rate of almost 3 lakh crore USD(2020), agriculture self-sufficiency, and forex reserves standing at ₹ 46.17 lakh crore.

As much I want to be a part of India’s growth story, I want it to be driven by three values. First, development must become a mass movement, in which every Indian recognizes his/her role, second, development strategy should help achieve broad-based economic growth to ensure balanced development and third, the strategy when implemented will bridge the gap between public and private sector performance. The strategy is an attempt to bring innovation, technology, enterprise, and efficient management together.

I am as excited as everyone else to be a part of this nation-building process, with our own unique sense of culture, heritage, and values. The east is where the world is looking and the future is already ours.
